Take a Closer Look

Slip on your binoculars, step up to a collage and peer through the viewfinders to focus on a particular detail or pattern in Jeannie Baker’s work. Take your time to notice the details, then use the paper and pencil provided to draw what you can see.

Texture Discovery Bag

The hessian discovery bag contains various items that Jeannie Baker uses in her collages. Take turns to feel for an item, keeping it hidden in the bag, and try to describe how this material feels. Offer clues so that your fellow explorers can guess what it may be.
