Experience the wonder of movement through dance and imagination with Canberra youth dance company Quantum Leap in response to Maria Fernanda Cardoso’s exhibition Spiders of Paradise (30 May – 23 August).
Inspired by the mesmerising motion of the Maratus (peacock spider), Quantum Leap dancers have collaborated with professional choreographers to create a vibrant, site‑responsive performance. Join us in the CMAG Gallery at 2pm, Saturday 20 June to see this unique work come to life among the artworks.
Stay on for a hands‑on experience.
Immediately after the performance, children and young people aged 5–15 years are invited to take part in a 60‑minute creative movement workshop, led by professional choreographers in the exhibition space. Participants will explore and create dance movement inspired by the colours, forms and motion of Spiders of Paradise.
Places are limited, bookings are essential!
