Canberra's own young LEGO® builder and award-winning creator Eric Wanigasekara brings his spectacular large-scale model A Normal Day at Jurassic Park to CMAG for three days only.

Inspired by the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World film franchises, this ambitious LEGO® display imagines a newly rebuilt dinosaur park on Isla Nublar. Everything appears to be running smoothly until a volcanic eruption triggers chaos across the island. Dinosaurs break free, visitors flee for safety, and the once-thriving attraction quickly descends into mayhem. Then again, it's just another normal day at Jurassic Park.

Visitors can explore the intricate details of the model, including a working monorail, a mechanised dinosaur chase, dramatic rockwork, and water effects, all constructed entirely from LEGO® bricks. Drop in during the school holidays and pair your visit with the Make Your Own Relic Workshop.

About Eric
Eric Wanigasekara is a Year 9 student at Brindabella Christian College with a passion for LEGO®, robotics, design and engineering. His LEGO® journey began at age five with a small fire truck and has evolved into the creation of large-scale, technically ambitious models featuring moving mechanisms and imaginative storytelling.

Since the age of six, Eric has exhibited his work at events including the Canberra Brick Expo and major LEGO® exhibitions in Sydney and Newcastle. In 2026, he received the Public Vote Award at BrickBuilt Sydney for A Normal Day at Jurassic Park, marking his second consecutive win in this category. Eric has twice been invited to LEGO® Australia's Sydney headquarters and has met LEGO® Masters contestants and judges through his exhibition work. He hopes one day to compete on LEGO® Masters Australia and follow in the footsteps of Brickman.
