Join us for an afternoon of activities based on books shortlisted for the Picture Book and Early Childhood Book of the Year by the Children’s Book Council of the Australia. There will also be creative activities inspired by exhibitions such as, Michael Taylor: A Survey 1963-2016 and May Gibbs by gum!

Activitites across CMAG include:

 Stories in movement – Sign up on the day to participate in a story inspired movement workshop with Jane Ingall (sessions at 12.45pm, 1.30pm, 2.15pm and 3.00pm)

 Music with Jim – Drop into Jim Sharrock’s musical workshop with games, drums and sound effects (sessions at 12.30pm, 1.15pm, 2.00pm and 2.45pm)

 Story Country – Inspired by the Book Week theme, Story Country discover CMAG education staff’s favourite new release books by Indigenous authors and illustrators.

 Explore the foyer and galleries – Paint, create and play as you explore our exhibitions and discover books and activities.

[Fully booked] Studio Workshop: Ollie and the wind  The studio based activity for 4-12 year olds inspired by Ronojoy Ghosh’s book, Ollie and the wind (sessions at 12.30, 1.30 and 2.30pm)
