Hannah Quinlivan: Anatomy of a Drawing

Hannah Quinlivan: Anatomy of a Drawing

The artist will utilise the glass-walled space of the gallery to dissect and display the elements of a drawing, in an inversion of classic anatomical drawing, which peels away layers of skin and flesh to expose the structure beneath.

Employing the conventions of those graphic traditions, Quinlivan will separate various elements of a drawing and rearrange them on different spatial planes within the space, able to be viewed from different directions and angles; the whole interrogating our art-historical understanding of what can constitute a drawing.
