The fires that swept through the suburbs of Canberra in 2003 were the first serious threat experienced in the history of the city.

A panel of artists whose work is featured in Seeing Canberra including Waratah Lahy, G. W. Bot and Mary Hutchison discuss the impacts of that time on their work and as our awareness of the impacts of climate change have grown, reflect on the growing understanding of the fragility and preciousness of the environment of the bush capital.
