Friends of the National Film and Sound Archive presents stories that celebrate film.
Television began in Australia in 1956, and early programming came mostly from America, which opened its doors to studio backlogs as well as made-for-television series.
In this selection we will view an episode of MY LITTLE MARGIE, a sitcom starring Gale Storm and Charles Farrell, supported by a LITTLE RASCALS short and CUBBY BEAR cartoon from the 1930s, as well as an episode of the CRUSADER RABBIT cartoon serial. There'll be a historical introduction to contextualise these offerings from the black and white beginnings of a social revolution.
