Catriona Quinn, design historian and curator, will discuss Ruth Lane-Poole in the context of the emerging field of interior design and decoration in the 1920s and ‘30s.

She will be joined in conversation by Greg Peters, Director and key conservator at Patinations Conservation Services. Greg will bring his insights into the importance of the Ruth Lane-Poole furniture collection to furnish the Official Residences, Government House and The Lodge in Canberra. He will discuss how the role of this furniture collection has changed over time and what is now required to preserve it for future generations.

Presented in partnership with The Australiana Fund.

This event will also have an Auslan sign-interpreter for people who are deaf or hearing impaired.
