BRINGING UP BABY (1938)
102 MINUTES, USA

 DIRECTOR: HOWARD HAWKS
CAST: KATHERINE HEPBURN, CARY GRANT, CHARLES RUGGLES

David Huxley (Cary Grant) is a stuffy paleontologist on the verge of marriage, and more importantly, on the verge of finishing his four year project of assembling the skeleton of a Brontosaurus. Then he meets Susan Vance (Katherine Hepburn) who turns his life into chaos and drags him off to Connecticut to help her with her pet leopard called Baby. Things get steadily more complicated as Susan falls in love with him, turns out to be the niece of a rich museum donor and her pet dog buries the last piece of the skeleton. This is known as one of the classic screwball comedies.
