Assistant Director, Exhibitions and Collections
Rowan Henderson is Curator Social History and has held the position since July 2008. Her role includes curating exhibitions, acquiring objects for the CMAG collection, answering public enquiries and researching and writing about the collection and about the history of Canberra.
Rowan has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours, majoring in History)/Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from the University of Queensland, and a Master of Liberal Arts (Museums and Collections) degree from the Australian National University. She worked in a number of national cultural institutions including the National Museum of Australia before joining CMAG, having joined the Australian Public Service in 2004.
